Paper Plate Long-eared Owl
A master-class of making an owl will be a suitable evening activity with your kid. Just a little imagination, available materials – and a remarkable craft is finished!
Derive pleasure from joint creation and it will help to make trustful relations between children and adults stronger.
Tools and Materials:
- 3 paper plates
- a glue gun
- a black marker
- scissors
- yellow, white, black and brown acrylic paints
- a workpiece for the beak made from red paper
- a brush
Step-by-step instructions:
1
Prepare a paper plate for your work. Turn it upside down and cut in two. These will be the workpieces for the wings.
4
Our owl has a peculiarity in its appearance – ears. To make them, draw 2 small triangles on the plate. Cut the superfluous edge off so that the ears are prominent, gradually cutting away the thinner stripe.
Pain the craft base brown the same way as the wings.
5
Draw 2 big circles on a plate turned upside down. These will be the workpieces for the eyes as an owl has big round eyes and their peculiarity is in the fact that the bird can not move them like a man!
7
Draw a yellow circle, then a white one along the contour on the eyes workpieces and after that draw a black pupil on them.
8
Apply some glue with the help of the glue gun to the workpiece for the eyes and stick them to the craft base. Stick the triangle workpiece for the bird’s beak the same way.
9
After the craft base is finished stick the wings at the back side. They should be placed symmetrically. This symbol of wisdom will take its deserved place among the crafts of your kid!
