Macaroni Flowers - 1
An appliqué out of macaroni is an original craft project for kids. Your child will enjoy simple handcrafting, especially if you help him at first. You can make a small picture and put it in a frame. It will decorate the interior of any room.
Tools and Materials:
macaroni:
- tortiglioni
- fiori pasta/ flower pasta
- penne rigate (penne pasta/penne macaroni)
- spiralen (spirali /spiral pasta)
- a glue gun
- green, yellow, red, pink acrylic paints
- a brush
- light green carton
Step-by-step instructions:
1
Take the macaroni you need for the craft. It is necessary in order not to deflect your attention away from the creative process.
2
Take a fiori pasta item – it will be the center of the flower. Apply the glue with the help of the glue gun to a small area of fiori pasta.
3
Glue one more flower pasta element to the previous one. This will be the first petal. Again apply the glue to the center of the flower pasta item and glue the second petal. Repeat the action 4 more times. You will have a flower which consists of 6 petals and the center.
Make 2 flowers more according to this pattern.
4
To glue the stem apply the glue to the tortiglioni hole walls. Stick one more tortiglioni item to it. Repeat this step one more time for the stem to consist of 3 tortiglioni items.
Make 2 stems more according to this pattern.
5
Take the first stem. Apply the glue to tortiglioni hole walls and stick the item to the stem at the left and the right sides at the level of the second element.
6
Take the second stem. Apply the glue to a spiralen item and stick it to the stem at the right and the left sides at the level of the second element.
7
Take the third stem. Apply the glue to penne pasta hole walls and stick it to the stem at the right and the left sides at the level of the second element.
8
Stick the flower workpieces to the stem workpieces. Thus you’ve got 3 wonderful flowers. Prepare the carton for framing the appliqué.
9
Decorate the craft with acrylic paints. Pay attention to the fact that the paint must be applied in a thin layer for the macaroni not to get wet. When the flowers dry, glue them to the carton. So you’ve made a great flower garden appliqué. Such a picture will be always pleasant to the eye with its bright summer colors!
